WARRANTY POLICY
Last updated: January 15, 2025
This Warranty Policy describes the terms and conditions under which SEMCO Equipment Sales (“SEMCO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides product warranty coverage to original purchasers of SEMCO-branded equipment and authorized attachments.
1. WARRANTY COVERAGE
SEMCO warrants that each new piece of equipment, component, or attachment sold through SEMCO or an authorized reseller is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use.
This warranty begins on the date of delivery to the first retail purchaser and continues for the duration listed below, whichever occurs first:
- Compact & Mid Excavators, Loaders, Tractors: 36 months or 10,000 operating hours
- Attachments (Hydraulic Hammers, Augers, Buckets, etc.): 24 months
- Electrical Components, Pumps, Valves: 12 months
- Paint and Finish: 6 months (defects only, not wear or corrosion)
2. WARRANTY REGISTRATION
All equipment must be registered within 14 days of delivery to activate warranty coverage. Registration requires:
- Product serial number
- Purchase date and proof of sale
- Owner name and contact information
- Operating hours at the time of registration
Unregistered products may not qualify for warranty claims until verified by SEMCO’s service department.
3. WHAT IS COVERED
- Defective components or parts due to materials or manufacturing flaws
- Factory-installed hydraulics, engines, transmissions, and frame assemblies
- Standard electrical systems, sensors, and operational switches
- Failures occurring under normal operation and regular maintenance schedules
SEMCO reserves the right to repair or replace defective parts with new or remanufactured components at its sole discretion.
4. WHAT IS NOT COVERED
- Wear items including seals, filters, hoses, rubber tracks, and fluids
- Damage from misuse, overloading, neglect, or improper storage
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or installation of non-SEMCO parts
- Accidents, fire, water, corrosion, or environmental exposure
- Normal deterioration of paint, decals, and cosmetic components
- Losses of time, profit, or incidental damages due to downtime
5. WARRANTY SERVICE PROCEDURE
All warranty claims must be submitted by the product owner or authorized dealer. Claims require:
- Serial number and proof of purchase
- Clear photos or videos of the issue
- Description of failure and operating conditions
- Maintenance records and repair history
Once reviewed, SEMCO will determine whether the defect is eligible for warranty coverage. Approved claims may be serviced by:
- In-field parts replacement or repair
- Authorized partner repair facility
- Return to depot for factory service (if required)
6. OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow maintenance intervals listed in the SEMCO Operator Manual
- Use approved lubricants, fluids, and parts
- Keep records of all maintenance and service
- Operate the machine safely and within rated limits
- Report issues promptly — continued use after failure may void coverage
Failure to maintain proper service documentation or to comply with operational guidelines may result in denial of warranty claims.
7. TRANSFER OF WARRANTY
The SEMCO limited warranty is transferable once within the original warranty term to a new owner, provided that:
- The equipment has been properly maintained
- Maintenance records are available upon transfer
- Transfer is registered with SEMCO within 30 days of sale
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
SEMCO’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product. SEMCO shall not be held responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential losses including downtime, rental costs, or loss of productivity.
9. EXCLUSIONS FOR NON-SEMCO PRODUCTS
Products, attachments, or accessories not manufactured by SEMCO are covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty. SEMCO provides no guarantees, express or implied, for third-party goods.
